I'm as Corny

As Kansas in August . . . but it's only June!

Dorothy, we're not in Kansas anymore. What's up with the corn!

And what's with the mountains and palms in the background? Definitely not Kansas!

This bird looks evil! Like something out of Edgar Allan Poe!

Another gorgeous Arizona evening.

And I managed to catch a bird in flight in this sunset photo!

Cool photos! I can't believe the cracked, dry ground in that 1st photo! The corn around here isn't growing at all! Supposedly we will have warmer weather starting next week.....

Isn't corn supposed to be "knee-high by July"?? Or maybe that's in Kansas? Love the last sunset shot...nice perk that the bird was there. Ha!

Ann, the ground is pretty much like that all the time down here. All the crops are irrigated from the canals. And Deb, I can't remember when they planted that corn, but it's been in the 90's (as opposed to 100's) all through June, so maybe that was ideal for growing? I noticed someone the next mile over with a sweet corn for sale sign, so I should go check it out.
