Afternoon Mojitos and Cuba Libres

There's a little backwater restaurant on Isla Mujeres where you can wile your afternoons away drinking Mojitos and Cuba Libres watching the boats and yachts float by on the channel. El Varadero has a funky Cuban flair that almost leads you to believe you're in 1950's Cuba. We stopped by yesterday on the golfcart to gulp down a post lunch drink. The place surprisingly was quite busy with tourists and boaters. One group's fancy high-powered fishing boat was tied to the porch right in front of us. Here's the two dollar tour.

Mojito!

And here's what the locals think of my photography!

Just lovely! LOL at the last pic. We went in search of that place once and got sidetracked. Have to try it again!!

And Jana, we went back the next day for lunch and they weren't open yet. Right next door there's a new place with great food in a large palapa. I'll post about that one later!
