The party's over and it was time to go home. I snapped a few photos with my cellphone on the way out of Tempe Marketplace last night. The Christmas decorations were gorgeous and it really put me in the holiday mood! The 'office party' was great! It was a lot of fun to finally put faces with the names, and what a cultural change from Craig's last work group. Many of the people are academics affiliated with ASU, so it's a highly educated ethnically diverse group. Really interesting kind people!
This old VW bus sits in front of a restaurant. I'd like to go back and try the food!
A very large Christmas tree sits in the center of the street. A blues band was playing most of the evening, and the restaurants were packed with ASU students and families. Tempe Marketplace is really happening! I've been there to meet friends for coffee during daylight hours, but never on a Friday night.
I think we need to make a return trip back there this holiday season!

looks like a great place to eat & people watch! Hope you get to go back & try the food!
Glad you enjoyed the party, Beck, and liked the people. What a lively, festive scene!
Yes, I think you should go back and get some more pictures! Looks so festive!
San Felipes has pretty good food, mostly Baja stuff. The freid oysters are fabuloso! But I hate their salsa. It was corn, black beans and bell peppers in it. yuk.
I really wanted to get out today and go somewhere, but it wasn't to be. Maybe I should meet Craig up there after work some evening for dinner. It's fairly close to his office. Chrissy, we'll have to try San Felipes. We tend to eat at the same neighborhood joints in our area.
