We pulled into a Starbuck's parking lot in Bartlesville, Oklahoma this morning and they were having a boot scootin' good old time with this George Jones song blaring from the outside speakers. I'd never heard THAT at a Starbuck's! It was a brand new shop and I guess they'll do anything to get those Okies to buy those $4 coffee drinks! (I was the only customer at 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning.)
On down the road in the Amarillo, Texas vicinity, I finally scored a photo of this landmark from a moving car. I think this must be Texas' answer to the Leaning Tower of Pisa!
Can't wait to get back home tomorrow! :)

Love that leaning tower, Beck. Cool!
A Starbucks in B-ville??? They're really coming up in the world. Have a safe trip home. Thanks for sharing your Life on the Road with us. :)
Moonie, I think it's brand new. It was at the corner of 75 and Phillips Blvd (whatever street goes to the hospital and downtown). And I thought of you when I was in Oklahoma! And Vee -- it was a challenge getting that tower from the road because Craig did not slow down.
Were you going along the old Route 66 through Texas? I know it goes through Amarillo. Did you happen to see the Cadillac graveyard?? That would be worth a drive to get some pics.
Deb, we were just on the interstate and Craig refuses to stop! LOL So I shot the leaning tower from the car window at 65 mph. I've seen the car graveyard (actually didn't know it was Cadillacs). I'd love to get pictures of it! I can't tell you how many photos I whizzed by and didn't get, but we'd still be in Texas if we stopped everytime I saw something!
