Paging Mr. Gonzalez!

I'm not sure why I find this construction sign so funny? Maybe it's the idea that any road construction in Arizona could be speedy? They've had the street in front of our neighborhood torn up since we moved here in October 2006. Cones, barricades, and I haven't seen anyone working on it in at least six months or more. I guess I should call Speedy at 623-934-9415 and see what the hell's taking so long!

I love that sign! It makes me laugh too. Years ago there was a sign on Isla for Dr.Zhivago and I laughed every day when I passed it. I'm easily amused.

Jeanie, I'm easily amused too! I think a lot of people don't get my bizarre humor.

And Chrissy, down here south of the San Tan Freeway, streets are built by developers. At least that's what I've been told. A street will be torn up because one side is being expanded by the developer who's responsible. Then when a developer starts a neighborhood on the opposite side of the road, the entire process starts again. I've never lived anywhere before where the city didn't build the streets!

I finally figured out that the whole hangup in front of our neighborhood is the intersection. On the other side of the main road, the developer who started the street project went belly up. So they have lanes blocked off, barriers, cones, etc... on our side because the lanes don't exist on the other side. (I'm sure that makes NO sense!)

God knows how long it will be that way! I guess I need to call the City of Chandler instead of Speedy and do some yellin'! (But I don't think it'll do any good.)

I would have found this sign too funny too. I don't think any state has a "Speedy" when it comes to road repairs.
