Sometimes It's the Little Things

in life that make me happy.  He he he.  I returned from our trip to a slew of bills, one of them from a doctor's office that did me wrong.  If the claim had been filed with the proper diagnosis, it would have been picked up 100% by my insurance company.  Instead, I got stuck with the entire bill since I hadn't reached my deductible.  To add insult to injury, the diagnosis was totally false.  I did not go in presenting the symptoms the doctor claimed in his paperwork.  After going five rounds with the incompetent staff, I decided it wasn't worth the aggravation.  I cut my losses and went elsewhere to a competent caring medical office for a fresh start.

But that left me with the big bill to be paid.  I mailed it on Friday with a greeting on the back of the envelope --  To the Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

Sometimes it's just the littlest things in life that make a smart ass like me happy.  I giggled all the way home from the post office.

Which brings me back to the happy children of Isla Mujeres!   There's nothing children like more than getting to dress up and march in a parade!  Here's my video from Dia de La Revolution, November 2012.

After the parade, we met this guy on Hidalgo having a blast decked out in his finery. He proudly asked me to take his photo and told me he was El Presidente!

Anyone recognize the adorable cutie in this photo?

Sorry about the medical bill. My partner Cindy had a wart burned off her finger during a routine dermatology appointment and got stuck with a $1,000 bill because they billed it as laser surgery, even though they used the CO2 can. They claimed that changed it from a routine check up to surgery and also billed for hospital time even though it took place in the same office. Arrrgh.

I recognize her! I noticed her in the parade slideshow and said, "There's Lior!" My husband and I really enjoyed your slideshow, Becky. Such cuties.

Laurie, such a cute mustache!

Kay, we're both racking up the medical bills now. I supposedly had some spots burned off with the CO2 can on Monday, but nothing's scabbed and I see no evidence that anything's different. And I can't imagine what Craig's bill's going to be from the same office.

Nancy, Craig saw Lior and sent me running over there for photos! I missed Barlow.
