When You're Too Big for Your Britches!

Oh what to do!  I'd love to be that girl who struts around in tiny worn blue denim cutoffs, but I've come to the conclusion that it ain't happenin'!  Those days evaporated with my 40th birthday cake.

Browsing through Pinterest a few weeks ago, I saw a cute wrap bracelet made of -- denim!  The instructions were extremely simple with hardware store wire and inseams cut from old denim jeans.  Since I don't have any of those cool worn jeans in my closet, I raided Craig's.  I looked for the older smaller worn version so maybe he'd miss the fact that I stole them.  (Actually, he caught me last night with scissors in hand.)

Here's my favorite of the bracelets I made last night from the inseam of his old jeans.

And being the obsessive compulsive person that I am, I couldn't stop with one.  Here's the lineup of the rest of the bracelets.

Click on the link here for the blogger's article with the instructions for the denim bracelets.

I guess I've finally found a way to eat my red velvet cake and still wear denim!

Now . . .  back to cutting up Craig's jeans.

Those are cute! You could wear one on each wrist and one on each ankle! Haha!

Deb, I'd need the entire inseam to go around my ankle. Ha!

Janet, I'm really amazed at how many recipes and ideas I get off there. And it's nice to share stuff with friends!

How creative you are! I have never been "crafty", but so admire the talents of other friends. My friend, Beth, is a gourd carver extraordinaire, and I just posted some of her beautiful creations. Lynda

drgeo, poor Craig is suffering from shingles -- on his face. So I need to be kinder and stop cutting up his jeans!

Lynda, I need to link my blog to yours so I know when you post! I'll do that today. A neighbor down the street and her sister grow gourds and carve and paint them for craft shows. I wish I had talent like that!

and liked the chicken enchilada soup recipe too. I guess I'll have to cave & go to Pinterest soon. k
