Some people play Angry Birds or Candy Crush to pass the time -- I play with my photos. I wish I was talented with a paintbrush, but cellphone apps make all most things possible!
Hi! San Pedro Scoop here. I'm thinking of coming up to Isla in a few days (before a flight from Cancun)...know of any good ECONOMICAL places to stay? Thanks so much Rebecca
Since it's September, I'd think you'd be able to get a really good walkup rate. We did a walkup at the Rocamar last November and paid $50 a night over Thanksgiving weekend. It's oceanfront right above the square and the rooms are nicely updated. That's my favorite go to place on the Caribe in El Centro. Also check Hotel Bucaneros, Hotel Belmar, and Plaza Almendros on Hidalgo in El Centro. Posada del Mar on Medina (north of the ferry docks) may also have some good rates since it's September. I've also heard of people getting good walkup rates at Maria del Mar on Playa Norte. Maria Leticia towards the northern end of Juarez has really economical rooms, along with Hotel Francis Arlene and the Carmelina on Guerrero. If you're really looking for cheap (but very basic), try the Vistalmar on Medina, also north of the ferry dock. Hope that helps Rebecca. Have fun!
