My brain today is as scrambled as this plate of Huevos Mexicana below taken at the market, so I'll just post some random photos and not try to tell a story.
Oops, one randomly funny detail from the trip does come to mind. One rainy evening, we hopped in a cab out at Casa Luna Turquesa and headed towards El Centro for dinner. The taxi driver proudly showed us a handy dandy machine given to him by an American friend. He picked up the remote and the little electronic device started making farting noises. I recognized it immediately because a friend of ours in Seattle had once used one just like it to embarrass me in a swanky restaurant. Every time the waitress would get near me, the friend (?) would activate the device and all hell would break loose. Oddly enough, the remote for the friend's little toy disappeared a few months later, rendering it useless. I always got blamed for that, but I suspect the culprit was his wife. Anyway, the Isla taxi driver said Americans really like his new toy, but it doesn't go over so big with locals.

It's hard to believe, but I feel like I didn't take many photos! I love the one of the evening on the beach!
Ann, I really stalled on taking photos when the last tropical wave hit, so I don't have a whole lot to show for two weeks on the island.
Great pics as always, Beck. Glad you had a good time!
That last photo on the Posada beach is stunning!
I was wondering where you were staying - I've looked at that property. Nice - and as usual the food photo makes me hungry!
Jeanne
Great pics! And that is Christine's Hidalgo kitty. She has thrived quite nicely in that area for a long, long time.
Thanks Deb! Jeanne, we stayed at Posada for four nights, then Luna Turquesa for the rest of the trip. Donna, that's why that kitty's so well-adjusted! She rolled over on her back and started talking to us!
I thought that was Christine's kitty. I always go by and feed her, she's very personable and tame.
I love that beach photo. The clouds look like someone's spirit is swooping out of heaven to touch the ocean!
Love the story about the fart remote, and the idea that the wife of your friend 'hid' it...lol.
Great photos, as always - thanks!
Jana, I think those clouds were after a storm, but can't remember now. Sue, I wanted to take a photo of the fart remote and post it on the friend's Facebook wall! I should have! Too bad I didn't get the number of the taxi because the guy was a character!
I also love the Posada beach photo! The color & texture looks like it's a photo from the 70's!
