She may be a Blue Hair -- but she still likes lollipops. Saby's got a lot more gray and white on the muzzle, but she still cuts a rug when she decides to play!
She still loves to run wild patterns around the house, and maul Craig to get a treat!
Craig puts on the baseball cap because she's discovered the quickest way to win the game is just to take her big abrasive paw and scratch the top of his head. So the hat levels the playing field.
She occasionally has to take baby aspirin for a recurring shoulder injury.(She's fine for a month or even two, and then pulls something playing.) We think she's almost 10 years old, so that would make her about 70 in people years? But she chases the ducks, herons, kitty cats, squirrels, etc.... It's her duty to herd all those birds from the shoreline into the lake everytime she passes on her walk. And the Bumpuses' cat doesn't have a chance in our backyard!
Here she is relaxing on the patio yesterday, waiting for birdies to flock by so she can chase them from the yard. She's giving me one of those stern looks (Did I SAY you could take my picture?).
Love the new header! Gotta love the dog--ours is a pain sometimes, can't imagine life without him. Supposed to be taking him to a nearby lake today ( to run on the ice, but it's started snowing heavily, so I might not go...
ReplyDeleteAnn, I'd kind of like a little outing in the snow! When we were in Kansas for the funeral, Saby went wild playing and running patterns in the snow. Just like a little kid! :) And it is hard to imagine life without her!
ReplyDeleteShe definitely looks like a sweet dog! But you're right...she also looks like the queen with the attitude in that last pic. Ha!
ReplyDeleteSaby's so sweet, but she definitely has 'tude'. Earlier in the day, she gave me the Stella Myrtle look when I made her move so I could vacuum. When she glares like that, I laugh. Then she has to glare at me again. It took us a long time to catch on to her pissy moods. Ha!
