Actually, I had a long post prepared yesterday about finding a rhythm in retirement. After a year, we're finally into a groove. We get up when we wake up in the morning, take a long bike ride, do a few chores, forage for food, read books, watch movies, and do whatever we want with no guilt. Just as I was loading photos to my long post, it went poof! So I don't have the heart to try and piece it together again.
I'll just make it short and sweet. Here are a few photos I took last night as we were taking our nightly dip. The water is now bathtub warm due to the solar cover, so our favorite time of day is evening. We turn on the outdoor speakers and relax in the pool to music, watching the sunset and moonrise.
The pool at dusk.
I can fully understand how that pilot mistook Venus for another airplane. It's bright!
Saby chillin' while we're swimmin'.
Saby on the prowl after dark. Maybe we should give her an ultraviolet flashlight so she can hunt for scorpions!

Becky, I'm so jealous!! Can't wait for the day to come till I can say "I'm retired!" What a great life you've carved out for yourselves, just perfect. We're in the middle of a move, just got internet hooked up, but so much to do, so little time to surf. I'm on pinterest, but haven't gotten into it yet. Drives my daughter crazy, she's getting married and wants me to check her pins, etc, out, in time, in time!
I love being retired& hate the days when I schedule too much! Just wish it was a little warmer!
I know what you mean about Pinterest--I have told people it's definitely more addicting than FB! But I like being able to organize things!
Janet, moving can be mind-numbing! Bet you're looking forward to that vacation in June! We go back and forth about wanting to get out of this location, but we're stuck for a bit until real estate rebounds. We planned on downsizing when Craig retired, but we really don't know where we want to end up! (I could think of one place I wouldn't mind hanging out!)
Ann, Pinterest is extremely addicting. I really should be organizing my house, but it's a lot more fun to just browse and click on the laptop.
My daughter does Pinterest, & I see a lot of fb posts highlighting things from there. But, I need to not get hooked, so not going there! Your pool looks inviting...nice routine you have!
Kris, I'm also just having a hard time getting inspired to blog. I need to start carrying my camera with me.
