Last Light

Friday evening after eating crispy tacos and watching sunset at the Soggy Peso, we walked to El Centro.  Along the way, I snapped some photos of last light along the Medina malecon.

Isla Morning Meanderings

Early morning view of Picus.  I'd never noticed the colorful benches out front!

Discombobulated!

I take so many photos of this place, the guys watch for me now.  At first he posed with his t-shirt pulled up  mankini style, then flashed the rabbit ears!

Here's an unusual piece of flotsam/jetsam we noticed on our morning seaglass hunt!  Did it wash ashore?

I haven't eaten here yet, but I've been told I should try it!

Waiting for fares.

Colorful casa on Juarez.  Love the two-toned gate and flowers on the door!

Early morning solitude at the Posada del Mar beach.

The best kind of morning meandering takes you to Barlito!  Craig had a panini with scrambled eggs, chorizo, and queso.

By the way, wish Craig a Happy Birthday today if you see him!

Sunset and a Pizza

We decided on Oscar's for dinner tonight and arrived just in time to watch the sun go down.  Having only been there once in November after dark, I didn't realize the spectacular sunset possibilities from the table.

After snapping a few photos, we ordered a Loaded Pizza New York Style.

Soon the garlic knots arrived.  They come with the pizza, so no need to order a side.

Then came the pizza!  Definitely 5 stars!  We ordered ours sin jalapenos.

By last light, we'd eaten our fill and requested the rest to go.  Can't wait for lunch tomorrow!

The Morning Walk

These rustic little chairs sell for 50 pesos at a house next to the Mango Cafe.

Colonia door.

If cats could talk, this one would be saying -- Seriously turista?  Get lost!

Cool pot!

One of the fruit/vegetable stands in the colonia close to us.  We bought a papaya.

Some of you who know me well can guess where our walk ended.

Love this peek-a-boo view from the path up the cliff.

The pile's starting to grow!

Fish and More

Last night it was time for some fresh seafood!  We've always loved the fish at Mocambo, so we decided to make it our first dock stop this trip.

Craig ordered the garlic fish filet and said it tasted amazing!

I ordered the Mayan fish, my new favorite dish on the menu!  Prior to last November's trip, I always ordered the shrimp kebabs.

We've never tried any drinks from the boat at Mocambo, but evidently they use miraculous tequila.  (Milagro = miracle.)

Since it was Sunday evening, the dock restaurants were filled with daytrippers eating before they caught the ferry.  The gorgeous sunset was just an extra bonus!
