An Isla Progressive Breakfast

No, we didn't really eat all these breakfasts in one day, but I thought it would be interesting to show some of the selections available on Isla Mujeres.

The breakfast tacos at Jax!  These were a hit!

The fruit plate from Alex and Giovanni's at the market.  It took me a few Isla trips to figure out where the food stands at the market were located.  For any newbies who haven't discovered it yet, the market is just south of the Post Office on Guerrero.

Huevos Mexicana at Alex & Giovanni's.

Barlito's is another breakfast favorite.  I was trying to eat a little healthier (note trying) this trip, so I skipped the cinnamon rolls, but this breakfast bagel is amazing with bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and onion!

I already posted this photo earlier, but seriously, M & J's Cazuela is a must!

Another market favorite -- Tacos Tumbra.  Below we sampled their Huevos Mexicana.

I love the variety of vinyl tablecloths at the market!

The Omelette at Bally Hoo!  Their breakfast sandwiches, including baguettes and bagels, are also great!

The Steak Burrito at the Mango Cafe.  We also ordered the Chicken Quesadilla another day, and it was equally as amazing!

So many great restaurants -- too few days.

Definitely visiting Mexico in July or August...maybe time for a trip there? Food looks great. Or maybe Holbox...hmmmm.

drgeo, I think there are Mexican Fruit Loops because when we were at M & J's on Father's Day, a Mexican dad made a store run so his little girl could eat cereal while he and his wife dined on cazuelas.

Scoop, I've been enjoying your travel adventures. We're thinking about Roatan for one of our next trips, but wonder if the bugs are really a dealbreaker. I think you'd like Isla Mujeres, but if you're looking for slower and off the beaten path, Holbox might be the ticket. Or do both. Isla's just a 20 minute ferry ride from Cancun, then you could easily get back to Cancun and be on your way to Holbox. Have fun! And Isla does have great food!
